The Griffin Area Habitat for Humanity
was founded in 1989 by Dr. Bill Day and members of First Presbyterian Church in Griffin with the first house built in 1990. Over the years, we have partnered with over 60 families in building and rehabilitating homes in the Griffin area.
An affordable home from Griffin Area Habitat for Humanity will reduce a typical family's housing expenses from more than 40% of their monthly income to an affordable 18%, leaving an average of $500 monthly savings to reinvest in their family's needs and in the community.
